Back to the Future DeLorean

I used to work with 3D models for games and importing them and decided with my latest project while using C4D to handle the models to actually explore. First ever project and especially of such caliber. I had to look almost everything up. From how materials are set up to render settings, camerawork, LIGHTING and how light works in C4D, illumination and the list goes on. I had a good solid basis to start off of but had to learn almost everything and how deep stuff goes. How to use splines, remake models and so on. And while looking at it its rather obvious that there is a lot of room for improvement I think for a first project its been done to the best of my ability.

Credit to: carlcapu9 for the base scene (which then I enhanced)

And the final product. 86 physical render passes and 7h of render time. Still has plenty of issues and things to fix but for now as a first project I`m really proud of it

One of the last steps was to populate the area a bit more after looking at some inspiration I felt my scene was naked so I decided to add a bunch of other this time more stylized adverts, change lighting sources and illuminate the DeLorean better

Added some fog and tested a few different things and moved stuff around in the settings of some light sources, and so on.

After some play around with lights and having learnt to use light source falloffs the scene was fixed and the beautiful colours I wanted to be visible from the adverts are not visible. Still they dont have the effect I wanted.

Many many hours after the initial render with a bunch of holo billboards added, positioning moved and a lot of... bad lighting (aka the building in the front being waaaaay too bright)

First real try of positioning of the car and seeing how the textures fare with some lighting added.
